Refurbishing intervention of a historical hotel in Bormio, a skiing village in the heart of the Alps. The project was based on a new definition of the spaces for both the 20 suites and the open areas. A great attention was paid to the construction materials: old woods, stones and iron, used on a traditional way but in the meantime revised according to the needs of a clean and essential design. The implementation of the project required 24 months of specialized jobs, due to the fragility of the antic structure and the obsessive attention given to every little detail.
