Project for the Italian headquarters of BSF, the American law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner.
The new BSF Italy headquarters is born on the second floor of a prestigious historic building in Piazza del Duomo, the heart and symbol of Milan. An entire floor of 750 square meters to accommodate the European headquarters of one of the most important law firms in the world.
The new BSF Italy headquarters is born on the second floor of a prestigious historic building in Piazza del Duomo, the heart and symbol of Milan. An entire floor of 750 square meters to accommodate the European headquarters of one of the most important law firms in the world.
The entire floor has been radically restructured, intervening on the internal partitions as well as on the electrical and data systems, on the air conditioning and air treatment system. We proceeded to replace the windows, the renovation of the services, the ceilings and the floors. Maximum attention then to the soundproofing of the rooms for maximum working comfort.
The focus of the project was to bring the Piazza inside the offices. Piazza del Duomo, symbol and heart of a Milan that is a reference point for the Italian economy and increasingly central in Europe. Hence the desire to flood the spaces with light, reducing the blind walls to a minimum, replacing them with glass walls equipped with LCD technology, in order to create the privacy required for an activity of this type. Glossy Carrara white floors, great attention to artificial light that discreetly integrates and mixes with the light of the square, walls with finishes that are the result of a modern reinterpretation of ancient manual processes, iconic pieces of Italian design and furnishings designed for the occasion. The result is the richness of minimal sobriety that is enhanced by rigorous and unique signs.

The intentional play of the reflection of the architecture of the monuments on the table tops of the meeting rooms and the imposing counter made of sheet steel where the structure seems to sink into the adjacent structural pillar, sectioning it and continuing beyond its thickness are the symbol of the design vision : merging the Piazza, understood as architecture, art, light, movement with the office environment.
